Welcome to Understanding Econometrics, a growing collection of conceptual slides designed to make technical ideas clear and intuitive.
The site is currently under construction, but eventually it will aim to cover the majority of the technical concepts needed for an undergraduate economics degree. It will also be of use to graduate students in economics, and to maths students.
The material is intended to complement lecture slides and other materials which students often find hard to read, unlocking these by giving the “jist” of key concepts. The focus is on visualisation and illustrative examples, rather than rigour, proofs and formulae.
